Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett and H.P. Lovecraft are probably my three favourite authors at the moment. If you want to call out Stephanie Meyer as being a subpar author, instead of comparing her to someone who is not really that much better at all, why not take a crack at sitting her beside one of these truly excellent and genre changing authors?

Terry Pratchett is the maniacal genius behind Discworld and I’d the kiss the man for it. The best fantasy novels you will ever read, he is capable of writing story after story after story in the same fantasy world, with the same characters, different characters and totally spastic ideas, and they come out as fucking excellent stories. Not just another year at fucking high school.

Neil Gaiman wrote Sandman. He has received multiple awards for the series and it widely accepted as the best comic book series of all time. For good reason. Mature, challenging and excellently written, he crafted his stories in a genre that is ultimately underrated and does not receive the critical attention it should. he changed that, making comic books an accepted medium in many literature courses.
Just none of mine unfortunately.

Pratchett and Gaiman corwrote Good Omens which is one of the best, most fun stories you will ever read. Go out and get it. It’s only fucking $15. You spent more on getting into that club/seeing that movie. Own something that will make your life better, instead.

Howard Phillips Lovecraft (Yes, his birth name) is the inventor of cosmic horror and the man that introduced us to Cthulhu. He should really need no further.

Fuck Rowling. She’s overrated. Fuck Meyer. She’s overrated.
Read three of the greatest authors to have ever lived. And then come say thankyou. I’ll be waiting.
